Gabriela Mejias joins OSHF as Program Manager

OSHF is delighted to announce that Gabriela Mejias has joined the Foundation as our first Program Manager. Based in Berlin, Gabi will lead the day-to-day management of OSHF’s program portfolio and serve as a primary point of contact for our fiscally sponsored projects.

Gabi brings eight years of experience in open research and open source ecosystems. She joins us from DataCite, where she managed the Global Access Program and Global Access Fund, supporting twelve funded projects across regions — work that maps closely onto OSHF’s own fiscal sponsorship program. Before DataCite she spent five years at ORCID, leading engagement for the Consortia Program across more than 900 research institutions worldwide. She has also served on the board of the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, on the EOSC Association PID Policy and Implementation Task Force, and as an organizer of csv, conf.

“Gabi is exactly the person this moment calls for. OSHF is a small organization holding a large set of commitments to the open science hardware community, and she has spent her career building the programs and relationships that make that kind of work hold together. We are lucky to have her.”Jason Griffey, Executive Director, Open Science Hardware Foundation
